Chattanooga man tries to hide gun in toilet when approached by officer

A Chattanooga man was arrested in Red Bank Monday on charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated sexual battery, and aggravated domestic assault. According to an affidavit, Red Bank police responding to reports of "loud screaming and what sounded like a physical altercation" found Christopher Lane, 20, of 4342 Shawnee Cir., yelling at a "shirtless white female" in a parking lot on Dayton Blvd. When an officer approached, Lane ran to a nearby apartment, yelled that he "had nothing to talk to the officer about," and slammed and locked the door.


Teenage Girl, Gang Member Caught After Being Added to - Most Wanted' List

A 19-year-old girl and gang member was caught just hours after being added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's "Top Ten Most Wanted" list. A former Cumberland County Sheriff's Department corrections officer was indicted by a grand jury Monday on accusations he stole more than $1,400 from a former inmate. The case began on December 18 when a woman was booked into the Cumberland County Jail for driving under the influence.

Tennessee remains at a Level II State of Emergency as crews continue to work throughout the state to clean up after last month's winter weather. The Marion County Sheriff's Department say icy conditions are a problem on most back roads and are worse on mountain roads and "hilly" terrain.
